Application Deployment Technician - Remote Clients

We are a highly successful Eyecare Practice Management software development and services organization that is experiencing tremendous growth.

We have an immediate need for a hands-on IT professional to help install/deploy ODPROFESSIONAL, our Flagship product, at our client sites. Little or no travel will be expected to the client sites.

This is a very hands-on position with a requirement to be proactive in managing and reporting on multiple application installation and deployment projects

Responsibilities are as follows:

  • Reporting directly to the VP of Client Services the ideal candidate will be a self-motivated and seasoned database application installer
  • Hands-on remote assistance and application deployment activities for the entire client base
  • Liaise with the Implementation team to plan, manage, and deploy new releases and service packs to the client base
  • Act as the primary application installer on behalf of the client services team
  • Help develop and follow comprehensive application deployment and maintenance project plans for new and existing clients
  • Flexibility to work after hours and weekends will be a requirement as most deployment activities take place when the client offices are non-operational.


Skills and Requirements:

  • Excellent communication skills with a flair for superior customer service
  • Strong Windows Network/Desktop Support skills – minimum 4 years experience – this is not a programming position
  • Solid understanding of the client-server technology in networked environments
  • At least two years of experience in providing remote IT/Appliaction support using various connectivity tools
  • Previous hands on experience with CACHE` database and Crystal Reports is strongly desired
  • Ability to document process and write/submit weekly status update reports
  • A Bachelors degree in related field and Microsoft/Cisco certifications are highly desired.

Customer Support Specialist - Opportunity

•  Reporting to the VP of client services, customer support specialist will be responsible for answering all incoming software support and general inquiry calls from 6:00 am to 2:30 pm – 30-minute lunch break.
•  Analyze customer needs through appropriate questioning and fact gathering, documenting, resolving or escalating the incident.
•  Provide quick, responsive, and consistent service acknowledging and recording all incidents and requests
•  Represent the company and support department in a professional manner to all stakeholders and maintain an ethos of excellence
•  Effectively deal with conflict and urgent situations
•  Follow established process and procedure while providing input from the front-line for continuous process improvement
•  Maintains critical services to customers with minimal disruptions
•  Multi-tasking especially with respect to documenting while performing other tasks/duties

Must-Have Skills:

•  Excellent customer service skills phone etiquette with an ability to talk and type
•  Acute listening and well-developed time-management skills
•  ‘Can do' and disciplined attitude
•  Ability to adapt to a fast-paced and team-oriented environment
•  Good PC skills with a desire to learn new software and methods

Nice-To-Have-Skills:
•  Any Eye Care/Healthcare software experience is a huge plus.
